Lying in State Wednesday, Sep 17 2008

Following the news that Cliche Guevara has been shot by US special forces in Bolivia and is now passing from this world unto the next, make room for the Bad Conscience which is sure to follow.

A man after my own heart. These videos should be watched
On general republican hypocrisy:

With John McCain:

On Palin:

Palin IV (a cracker) Thursday, Sep 4 2008

Thanks to Phil for this one.

Below is a video of Palin before she was announced as McCain’s VP pick, explaining that frankly she needs someone to tell her what a VP does – after all she’s very busy in Alaska and doesn’t want to find she’s sitting around tweddling her thumbs:

Creationist Palin would not take global warming seriously Wednesday, Sep 3 2008

If McCain were elected and then died – he is in his 70s now – then Sarah Palin, a creationist who thinks that global warming is either not happening, not man-made, or both would take over.

Watch Republican Carly Fiorina, adviser to McCain, trying to avoid the issue here.

Also, it is quite funny to hear Republicans constantly talking about “reforming Washington”. Funny that, seen as they’ve controlled the White House for the past 8 years, and the vast majority of their top-brass – indeed, Palin notably excepted – have spent decades creaming a living off how the system currently operates.

Of course, that fact doesn’t sit well with the “anti-big government, pro-small town average American” myth the Republicans have built, thus positioning themselves against the “latte-sipping liberal elite” who apparently control Washington, the Media and everything else. The fact that the empirical evidence available to everyone manifestly contradicts this Republican myth is irrelevant. Stories trump science, be it that the Earth is 6000 years old or that America is secretly controlled by liberals rather than being hollowed out by greedy conservatives obsessed with their own invented victim status.

Cindy McCain on why Sarah Palin has foreign policy experience. Wednesday, Sep 3 2008

Well, because Alaska is the American state closest to Russia. What more do you want?

[Thank you Peter]

Then again Alaska is also pretty close to Canada, which is full of crazed liberals running around implenting things like health care free at the point of need and gun control. Those crazy Canadians. So maybe Sarah really has been on the front line all this time, albeit looking the wrong way.

Also, apparently “being a mother” makes you qualified for the Vice Presidency. I certainly don’t want to criticize mothering or mothers, but I’m not entirely sure that will be adequate preparation.

And is it just me, or does Cindy McCain carry a striking resemblance to a life-sized Barbie doll? Perhaps the name “Cindy” was just a clever ploy to throw us off from discovering her true identity.

Palin III Wednesday, Sep 3 2008

It’s official, Palin’s unmarried 17 year old daughter is pregnant – 5 months gone, at that (and if Sky News says it is true, then it must be true. The BBC were very slack on this one, thus punishing me for my laziness and lack of effort in checking other news sources).

Bit of a blow to abstinence, family values etc. Though at least Palin gets to put herĀ pro-life money where her mouth is.

Not sure which way this will go yet. Personally I’m hoping it will hurt the Republican vote with the Christian right, which is already reported to be at record levels of apathy.

Change of Function Tuesday, Sep 2 2008

This blog is going into semi-retirement, permanently. As of November 5th, this blog will be permanently retired, as i want to put some distance between things written here and who I am now. However, until then i’m going to give this site over to my own little effort to hurt the Republican chances on November 4th.

Posts from now on will feature articles, videos and links to anything which helps make the McCain-Palin ticket look bad. This has the added bonus of maximising the hilarity we can get out of the incompetent, unsuitable and frankly nutty Sarah Palin, before we can all either forget her with a sigh of relief, or resign ourselves to hoping John McCain lives another 5 years.

To kick things off, here’s a good video:
