I have decided to spend the meagre gains of my wage slavery on something ironically over priced: a full-sized reprint of an original Spanish Civil War propaganda poster. Obviously i don’t want anything from Monarchists, Falangists or especially Fascists. I’ve narrowed the choices down to three:

I like this one because of it’s catch-all Republican appeal. I think it dates to 1936, and it’s good because it’s internally non-partisan and is optimistic. The irony is sort of inspiring, in a very peculiar way.
However this is also good, because I find the message rather apt. I’d quite like this one as the first thing i see when i wake up in the morning. Except i’m not that keen on having a UGT poster.

Yet this is good if you know about the CNT. OK so the Anarchists did some bad stuff, and some might say they exacerbated the disorganised nature of the Republican war effort, but i think they’re my favourite bunch except for the POUM, whose propaganda posters are very hard to come by indeed.

But a homage to the International Brigades is appealing – if somewhat depressing for my own silly reasons.
I just can’t choose though….
